Dunwich Wizard opinions?

Looking at getting a Wizard with some custom work so it is two channels. I got a quote and it is very resonably priced and Nick was very quike to respond and answered all my questions.
So, who owns one? Do you think it is a versitle amp, more than just Doom?
I am in a Doom band and use Laney and Marshall aby'd. Through the Marshall I use a Pharaoh I purchased from this forum and it sounds great, I guess the Wizard doesn't take pedals well and I know how that is. When I use the Pharaoh through my Laney AOR50 it just doesn't work. I do play more than just doom however and was wondering if the Wizard would do well for just rock n roll too. The Wizard (from the clips) sounds incredible.
So what do you have to say about the Wizard?
Thanks for the help and check out some Doom songs from my band Diazepam

The thing I find odd is he just keeps walking.

You've seen this thread, right, Flip Downey?
http://www.ilovefuzz.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=20502I can't remember if anyone here actually has a Dunwich Amp yet. I know Holy Schnikes has a The Metropolitan currently being built.

Yeah, you're probably right. I couldn't remember and was too lazy to scroll through that thread.

I had not seen that thread, thanks. I'll have to talk to those fellas. Any idea what the wait time is? I talked to Nick about making a 2 channel Wizard with one channel being a Jose modded Plexi and he sent me a quote and to my suprise it was right there at the peak of my budget.

I feel like Schnikes has been about 2 months? And he had a custom headcase built, which I think added a bit of time?

It took you four posts to throw down a "go big or go home."
You're gonna do just fine kid. You're gonna do just fine.
Also, a totally unsubstantiated shot in the dark--I'm pretty sure The Wizard is billed as a pedal unfriendly amp because it's a Gain factory with little-to-no clean headroom. At least that's the impression I've picked up from Nick's posts.

I saw he actually posted that it doesn't take pedals well. Time for a shameless plug, in my band Diazepam (
http://diazepam.bandcamp.com/ ) I use a Laney AOR straight in, and a Marshall DSL50 on the clean channel with a Pharaoh fuzz to get some fuzzy goodness and when I have a Wizard I won't need a pedal to get heavy saturated fuzz and I find the less pedals the more I tend to like.
Oh ya, fuck ya go big or go home!
Ha ha ha

yea Wizard is not pedal friendly just too much amp gain. one of those plug in amps for all ur gain needs.
Schnikes is shipping tomorrow, his emperor shell extended the build time about 1 month waiting for it. looks sweet tho
Theres only 1 production WIzard out there beyond the proto which a close friend owns. Guy plays in a band called Venomin James has production model 001. I wouldnt say its super versatile haha I am def going for a certain sound

Ya, I hear that. Thats why I was thinking the Plexi in the mix would make it the end all be all amp head.
