Anyone have one of the old Torn's with the knobbies up top? Do they sound any different from modern ones or is it just mojo?

Mojo's, I have the Sheep with reggie knobs and played against one at the store and apart from mine being ooh la la and the other a Devi I couldn't tell the difference...

Those have a feedback loop... not the current version.

Oh yes, I thought he just meant knobs... If it has two switches it has a loop... :thumb:

But there is a big difference in the price.
Moog in Canada have the Ooh la la for 225$ (more than twice the price).

If you want to hear the oscillation:

ive had 2 different pagoda TP's. id have to say that their sound seemed more trebly and trashy then the current versions of the tp. but maybe thats just to my ears :idk:

they're definitely awesomely noisy, loud, and the oscillation kicks a lot of ass. if you can get one for a good price, take the leap. :thumb:

I had a Pagoda and a current one at the same time (with an added TP <> AE pot and a gate switch), and I kept the Pagoda. It had a really nice sputtery decay and little bit wilder, looser, more organic sound than the current one. I wouldn't be surprised if they all sound slightly different though.

Torn's Peakers are fun circuits, especially E13 ones. Ooh La La's don't count to me as E13's since they were produced after the Pagoda series. Also feedback loop means oscillation switch, there's not a loop in which you can put another pedal in a loop ala TBD. Just to be clear.

Definitely more lo-fi, loose, and trashy than the newer ones. A texture machine.
