I just saw this... Ibanez Tube Amp with Celestion 10 and built in Tube Screamer... Totally trying to corner the HCFX and TGP crowds... :poke:

Guys, i praise since one year the TSA 15 H: very cheap amp (230EUR) with a huge sound, lots of low end, good tweakable and good connection options. And it is louder than i expected.
The tube screamer is a nice feature but i do not really use it. Even this sounds better than i expected. The boost on the TSA 15 H is a very nice feature, though.

So i see not the tgp point here - putting a TS before a tube amp to boost it is classical...

I just got an email saying those were new... I wasn't aware the head had been out awhile... I just don't see the point... An Amp should be an Amp and let the Pedals be Pedals...

The 15 is basically a non-reverb Princeton or Deluxe. Haven't tried one myself but I'd give one a go. HC people usually report "meh" but they also tenr to describe the high-gain side of a JCM-800 as "clean." The only review of the amp I saw over there that seemed to get it was positive. Pure speculation on the 5 would be something like a tweed champ with the higher voltages of later versions.

I'm over the TS circuit, but if it's on a seperate pcb, modding opportunities abound.

Yes correct... Amps have Tremelo which is an Amplitude effect, it's just turning Vol up and down... Spring Reverb effects make sense because they require an Amp to make them work... Everything else is tacked on crap to cover your Dumble Toanzzz... Line 6, please...

I honestly thought these amps were pretty shitty when I tried them out.

I swore there was some kind of clean blend that I couldn't control and it drove me nuts.

Good ears! There's a bit of a clean blend inherent in the TS pedals that very few hear.

I'd, for my purposes, evaluate those amps without the TS circuit for the most part.

The clean channel is not bad. It might be seen as mediocre, but it'S a fine base for your effects and hey - it's a tube amp, so it's not bad

i don't really care for TS type things, hate the "clean blend"

i would like to have it as a practice amp :) that's where it really shines i think
