Belongs to a teacher of mine. Ran the serial # online, dates back to 1986-1987. Honeyurst color, really sweet looking, hope it sounds as sweet. Something is raddling in the hardware, hope its nothing major due to lack of le $$$ to repair it.

He MIGHT let me keep it, which would be some serious pwnage for sure. What does I <3 fuzz think?

Sweet. The P/J set up is versatile and they are well made basses too.
The rattling is probably something minor, loose pot, jack or screw some place.
Spare change in the control cavity?

JUst checked it, twas a battery so i guess its active pickups. but now I have a major snag. when i plugged it in there was a horrendous buzzing noise and idk what is causing it. no sound is coming from the bass other than this buzz, I cant make any bass sound by wiggling the jack. any solutions?

It sounds like a ground issue, or a dying battery.
If you touch any metal on the guitar, does it stop?

So an update: got the bass to my tech guy, he said other than a slight curve in the neck, the bass is fine and he should have it up and running within the week!

I'll post sound clips once I get it back.
