We will also be releaseing a brand new compilation, EP's 1988-1991, which will include the 4 EP's from that period, plus other rare and previously unreleased tracks. Stay tuned for more.... MBV.
Huh, I didn't know about this until just now.

I didn't either...then again I never thought to look at their Facebook page! Too much disappointment from years of waiting for a new release I guess. Anyway, should be cool!

Happy Happy Joy Joy... I'm so glad I got to see them live... Hopefully Kevin is cool with the re-masters and doesn't want to redo them 512 times with 76 producers...

Because they're probably more popular now than when they were active. Cash in on the crazzzeee.

My understanding is that they've announced reissue dates several times over the last few years and they've never actually happened. Hopefully this is legit, I would love Loveless as a sweet LP

I heard there was remastered versions of loveless floating about on the net. Apparently this was tried a few years back, remastered promo copies got sent to reviewers but the label pulled the plug because shields was too late on finishing the liner notes.
Could be total shit though, never listened to the "remastered" ones either.

Well, rerelease your classic album with some bonus tracks or a special collection of outtakes. Not just remaster an album that was perfectly produced.

They are releasing something like that the ep's have been collected and will be released as a two disc collection, also the article I read
said that he also remastered Isn't Anything and that the plan is to release all of them in may.

I came when i heard about this from a friend yesterday.
I had a terrible dream last night that it was a terrible remaster with the mixes totally fucked up

To be honest, Loveless could use a remaster.

I'm most excited about the compilation of all the unreleased tracks. I'm really excited to finally have "Sugar" on a hard format.

If amything, it is waaay too quiet. I need that music loud enough in my headphones to drown out everything else, like sensory deprivation. A lot of great albums, I have realised in recent years are too quiet, and thankfully have at least been made louder after remastering. Mogwai did it with Young Team, and the Smashing Pumpkins reissues are the same, and better for it.
I downloaded MP3s of what was allegedly the 2-disc Loveless remaster. It was certainly louder, which is all I ask for.

Isn't Anything can use a remaster, and I like that album.
