Good phasers??

Does anyone have a suggestion on a good phaser? I'm looking at a small stone right now due to the fact that I've never disliked a EHX pedal I've bought(my board is full of them) and they are very reasonably priced. But for the sake of variety I'm looking to buy outside of my EHX box. Any suggestions? Boutique stuff??

I'm a fan of the Electro Harmonix Small Stone (the new Nano ones don't have the volume drop, apparently).
I've been wanting to check out a Moog phaser, but they're so damn expensive...

The Source Audio soundblox is great.
http://www.tonefactor.com/proddetail.ph ... iModPhaseror for a bit more the original hot hand Phaser/Flanger.
http://www.sourceaudio.net/products/hot ... langer.phpThe Phaser/Flanger is on my own want list.
a bit pricey but the extra abilities of the hot hand motion controller are fantastic.

Though I've only owned two standalone phasers, I have to say, I lerve the black Russ. Small Stone. The volume drop is annoying, though... But I'm still very pleased with it. (Sorry if I'm no help, haha)
I've heard good things about the Boss PH-1, but that's usually from snobby, boring individuals who just want to sound like X-1970's geetarist.

Thanks everyone. That Tri-mode Soundbox looks pretty cool.

i may be alone on this but i'm a big fan of the EVH phaser. i was a boss user for years so it took some getting used to... it's a different sort of 'swirly' than the boss pedals. an excellent pedal for spacing out with delay (and fuzz!).

Mutron Phasor II. I bought one years ago and love it... pure Pisces Iscariot sounding phase... very thick and lush, especially when you stick it after a nice fuzz pedal... mmm. of course, if you're made of money you can go for the Bi-Phase... maybe someday.
*if you want to hear a Phasor II in action, check out the song "Stars" at
www.myspace.com/paperworkmusic. clean phase with shit-tons of delay on it.

I was going to suggest the Mutron Phase II and the DeArmond Twister or Tornado, But figured he wanted something readily available. All three are fantastic though.

The Small Stone has always been one of my favorites. Easy to use and not overbearing in its swooshiness, but still distinctive. One of my friends ran Tele->Rat->Small Stone->Whammy->Bassman, and he always sounded excellent.
