best fuzz for garage rock

Post by mrmtzion »

I'm looking for the fuzz that the oh sees use? Know what it is? Someone told me a dba fuzz war, but that cant be right. That pedal is too heavy sounding to be it right? Is it a super fuzz or fuzz face?

Not sure what they use, but you might try the new infanem fuzzrite derivative.

Oh Sees do use a Fuzz War I believe. And I'm pretty sure Dwyer also has a Guyatone Micro Octaver in his set-up.

That thing has a broad tone sweep so it's possible.

Jero, can you still get that Infanem? I thought it was limited release.

edit: not Gunner, I meant Jero. :picard:

Had a Fuzz War and thought it to be too scooped but still it had a nice trashy garage rock feel to it. My recommendation: a Fuzzrite variant like the CF Fuzz Fight.

But yea, no point recommending a fuzz that isn't available like the Infanem one.

Ty Segall uses a Fuzz War as well...I think the tone knob has a good range, but I've never played one...yet
