First off -idk if this belongs in general or gear, but I'm posting it here because it's gear related.

So here's the deal:
I need to decide on my final project in school. After this project I will officially be an engineer of electronics and telecommunications all fine with diplomas and that jank.
so basically I need pedal ideas. I am already doing a more complex bit crusher with digital potentiometers, spi bus system, bla bla and my teacher offered me to extend this project as my final project. That would mean adding more features like saving presets, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi communication with an android phone- app, USB communication with a Java program on a pc...
I am quite tempted by this idea and will surely do it if nothing else pops up that is more interesting.

So if you have any ideas regarding the bit crusher or something completely different please let me know. It has to be a little bit more complex, so cloning a tube screamer doesn't count. Should involve some micro controller stuff and some form of Bluetooth, wifi or USB connection.

In wav format. So you can then use them in Cubase or Protools, etc...

I think you should make it so we can upload/download loops using an iphone app/wirelessly and add some optional modulation that we could choose (bitcrushing/vibrato/fuzz/whatever) using the iphone/wirelessly. I think I have a massive Brainer for this, as of yet, non-existent looper.

as much as i hate Z-Vex, i think the wah probe, fuzz probe idea is fucking cool. maybe if you could incorporate some sort of theremin-esque idea to control it, that would be on the cools

Bass synth pedal that doesn't suck dong. Make my Iphone/Android like the hot hands wireless system from Source Audio, except sexier with a synth pedal. Sexy sexier.

Really though, the looper sounds cool too.
