My First build *feedback wanted*

So for the holiday season I got a soldering iron and etc. And a BYOC confidence boost, which doesn't come with an enclosure, foot switch, or potentiometer. So I found a wiring diagram on the BYOC forum, and went to work. Provided it's not StupidDream, but it works. And that's all that matters!

Cool, now reuse that enclosure cause its too nice looking to be wasted on a confidence boost

Thanks (I think). I did the Whisker Biscuit Fuzz in a similar style, I'm trouble shooting right now, something is a rye.

So, I originally posted this thinking I'd get allot of feedback on my build, as it is my first, although I didn't. So if I could get some feedback on my wiring, enclosure, etc. that would be awesome. Also any tips would be cool too.

To tidy up wiring, you could use zip ties. I've become quite a fan of them for organizing things, and clearing paths.

What kind of paint did you use? Doesn't look like it dried all the way or smudged or something. Other than that, looks pretty good to me! I'm no expert either though.

I used rustoleum spray primer, and spray paint. When I was paintign it I had to move it while it was still wet and it tipped over onto the carpet, and it got kinda funky. Also you're right the black lines are kinda ridged, I don't know why, or how, but it's aight.

it might be because the tape doesn't form a perfect seal so the line is not that crisp. I tried some similar techniques and had this issue. There is painters tape that has some crazy sealant in it which advertises solving that exact problem "frog tape" or something like that but i have never tried it because its a bout 10 a roll. you can improve things a bit just making sure the tape is pressed on real well and by applying light coats of spray paint.

Frog tape does work! I've used it for many painting projects

Looks like you just sprayed the paint on too heavy in each coat, and maybe the take wasn't down as well as it could be. Masking tape really isn't perfect anyways. I think if you pressed the tape a bit more, and sprayed light coats it would come out better.
Wiring looks fine for a first build. Nothing a few more biulds won't fix.
