having trouble with my polypus, need some guidance

First off, it seems the tap tempo switch does not set the tempo i tap, always faster than i tapped and it wasnt to the same beat, for example it wouldnt stay in time if i tapped in the tempo to the beat of the song it wouldnt sound right, second, at random times it just goes to a really slow tempo, like really, really slow, it will be tremoloing and then bam! ,it goes really god damn slow
im having a lot difficulty, maybe theres something else i should do, any help is appreciated

I'd check the divider knob.

tried everything and the tempo wont be set correctly
