I'm looking to acquire a baritone guitar.
Any suggestions? positives? negatives?
Looking at a Fender Baritone Special now, but am open to others.
thanks.

I don't have a model suggestion per se, but I know that Dave from B Sharp Music in Providence (
http://www.b-sharpmusic.com/) has had a lot of luck with baritone conversion kits. I suspect you could find one online relatively cheap, and then turn whatever guitar you wanted into a bari.

That might be hard to find though, they've been discontinued. EBAAAAAAAAAAAAY

Cool info Aen, but wouldn't you need a different nut to accommodate the massive string size? I might do that to my Tele, sounds fun.

It depends. If you have a sissy nut cut for 9s and no bigger, you might want to do a little bit of filing. If your nut is spaced properly, the 70 gauge will probably stay put.
