Avatar B410 for $250, what do you think ILF? I really want a 2x12 bass cab for better portability, but I can't find any in the same price range. Seems like an okay dealy to me. Throw some other recommendations too, if you'd like.

Avatar cabs are built pretty solid. Never had one personally, but I've used one before and it was great.

Avatar definitely makes solid cabs but speaker type is a lot more important.
I'd check and see what speakers are in it and then do some research to see if you like them.

I agree. Judging by how they look in the picture, and how they look on Avatar's website, I believe they are same. Of course, all speakers look the same. I should've just waited and called about it, but I was just like "eff it, be a hard ass."

I ordered it. At worse, I'll lose a lil' bit a money on shipping or the cab will already be sold.

I like my Avatar 210 a lot. I wish I had a bigger cab sometimes for louder stuff, but its sings nicely.

it IS a bit more, but i got each of my Aggie GS112's for around $200-300 used, and a GS212 for about $500. the 112's are neat because they are LOUD when paired and super portable.

That sounds like a nice set up, behn. I've never actually played 12s, is there any reason you choose them over 15/10s?

yeah. they just feel right? 15's get a bit boomy and flabby for the way i like to eq, and an 8x10 cab is ANGRY, but i always feel like the 12's handle the low B better. and soooooooooo much lighter and easier to move around than a fridge. i...... hate those things.

I'm a fan of 10's, I'm running Carvin 410 right now and think it handles the low lows fine. Honestly though, I got to try the SWR henry 8x8 at a TB GTG last fall and loved it. That might be where I end up going in the future.

neat! i think Jean uses 8's on his PJB's.

yeah, i had an Aggie GS115 for awhile. it's with Erukus now. it might have just sounded weird matched with a pair of 12's, but i never really dug it.

Yeah, 12s seem like they'd be a happy medium between 10 and 15. Oh, well. I shall see how I rock with thy Avatar.
