I know that the Graphic Fuzz had induced massive droolage in the rare pedals thread... any thoughts on this?

Doesn't sound bad. From that clip I think I like the sound of the ESR pedal better than the IdiotBox.

I've got a Basic Audio Dirt Halo that I love. John said he's improved the circuit. It's the only Graphic Fuzz style pedal I've played. So, I've got nothing to compare it too. Definitely not your typical flavor of fuzz. Very thick sounding with an almost unique tone to it. Highly recommended.

i like his Death Ray a LOT. thing's just usefully weird.

There's something wrong with his original graphic fuzz.
It's definitely not supposed to have that feedbacky squeel.

There's a Graphic Fuzz for sale at a local shop.

Interesting. The Dirt Halo I have sounds nothing like either of those. But it is definitely unique. And LOUD.

I'd like to know how it compares as well. (Maybe you could ask John Lyons to put up a demo of it? John says his improved version of the circuit is better and I believe him.) You can never have too many versions of the same circuit though. Each one is equally valid in a differently unique way. Someone needs to do a Graphic Fuzz shootout. Jimmy Behan FX builds a version. What other builders offer a Graphic Fuzz build?

Sounds perty good I must say. Regardless of whether or not it's the most accurate sounding clone of the Graphic Fuzz, I dig it.
