Phantom Arcade on bass? Anyone tried it?

I got an email asking about Phantom Arcade on bass. How it plays, lo-end, etc?

I'm not a bassist, so I can't say definitively. I'm sure mode two (Lo-Glitch/Phantom) is pretty great on bass...mode one (Hi-Ring) and Turbo mode, I don't know.

Can anyone chime in to help him out?

If you sent me one for a demo, I'd be happy to whip something up for you. ;-)

I just ordered a PocketArcade. I'll post some clips when it shows up.

From what I recall, the Phantom Ring I had for a while was badass on bass. Turned me into a bitchin' synth. So...dunno how different the arcade is.

I got the PocketArcade this weekend and messed around a bit. Today I spent a few hours downsizing my previous board and the PocketArcade, being small, has an advantage. But if it doesn't sound good...it ain't making it. After plugging and unplugging a bunch of times, this is the current setup

The PA into the Xero sounds freakin' awesome. It actually pushed the Oxide off the board. While the Oxide has more direct control, the inherent tones on the PA are just right. THe only thing I want to do it rewire to get the PA in front of the MicroPog as I think it sounds better that way.

MicroPOG is not true bypass... PA should be before the MicroPOG.
I should get my PA soon. :!!!:

I think there should be a FH tourbox in my life. Phantom Arcade, Bass Bloom, Fuzz Huger, Upper...

I've done a Pocket Arcade demo, but on guitar... don't have a bass.

Well, bass isn't really my forte but I hope this helps...

I did this using my PBass, so I only have 1 pickup to work with, and I play with a pick. So, given the Phantom Arcades love for varying pickup selection and picking intensity, etc. All you real bass players will likely have more luck getting the octaves and extra funky tones out of it than I did. But it appears everything works well. Sorry if the video ran a little long.

Also my camera mic didn't really capture the low end that well, there is much more if it there than the demo let's on.
