This came in. I won Zhago in Dwarfcraft facebook giveaway and it arrived for my birthday. I can hardly play at all for time being but I HAD TO try it out a bit. And I liked it. Came up with a few notes I'd like to share, since there's very little said about it thus far. Aen is dropping You a bass demo any moment now, but still.


People need to hear more, I really like how the the midrang metalz grows on the big, round boosted sound. And once properly cranked full the distortion is hairy steel wool br00tz! No scooped nonsense, full range full blast metal distortion. Sort of old school heavy metal tone in that sense, only tuned for modern day extreme metal flavor.

Pinch harmonics?Yeah.Even with single coil bass pups? Yeah, I did. Chunka-chunka riffs? Totally. Black Metal dirge tremolo? Absolutely fair raising. Doom chords? Sure. ..and feedbacking? Lots of that, too, if wanted.

he fuzz is pretty nice, too: splatty and spitting on single strings, chords are nice full sounding with amp blowing thick fuzz. This will do great basic fuzz tone for Stoner Rock and 70's style Doom Metal stuff.

And it's stupid easy to dial in the tones, even if You won't crank it all to full blast. So easy even a bass player on prescibtion painkillers can do it after seeing the introduction video. And I actually forgot what Aen said in there - my head's a fucking sieve nowadays - and I STILL GOT IT RIGHT.

Oh yes, and it's cheap. NOt as cheap as a DS-1 but then again, DS-1 sounds as cheap as it is. And shit that cheap haven't got character and the fury Zhago has. And it makes You sound PRO AS FUCK!
