soooooooooo i may have the option to pickup a bluesbreaker combo for cheaps but ive never played one
id rather a plexi but none will build it into the blues combo cab for me at a reasonable price

now ive heard there similar but im not all that sure
the bluesbreaker sounds more bassman ish more wooly prob thanks to the toob rec rather the plexi

whats the other diffs on the tech and sound side

im mainly after it for its overdrive as a stand alone

my dream set up is a super reverb for cleans and a bluesbreaker for dirty. i love em, don't have one, but they rock. super awesome overdriven tones

what?
jtm 45 has also a tube rectifier (which is a good thing, bro)?!?!?
I have no idea if they are different, but i would asume they are not. Just a combo or a top.
Are you talking about other Plexis than jtm 45?
btw, the overdriven sound of my jtm 45 with KT66 was not that great as i thought. so i sold it.

375 for a plexi clone from scratch? A bluesbreaker is simply a JTM45 head/2x12 combo.

375 is just the fee to assemble the kit for me
its like 800 or so to buy all the parts for the kit cab and speakers included

I think JTM-50 is a 50 watt EL-34 plexi but with a rectifier tube. Might be a nice middle ground if you want the extra compression.

The jtm45 has a rec tube as well, and used KT66s.

Got an old London City. That is like a Super Lead 100 and sounds very very good (ok, it is bit modded: it has an EF86 as input tube). So there was no need to keep the JTM.
The JTM was good but not that "shit my pants, took the shit out, smeared on all other amps and sold them" good :idk: Maybe your taste differs.
