And this, although its very very very awesome to watch someone so engrossed in their iphone not pay any
attention to crosswalks, obstructions in their path (i.e. columns, trashcans, parked vehicles), other pedestrians, and lines get their asses
handed to them as a result.

Though, I do wonder if any of the modulation or delays sound good.

I'm not gonna lie. I'm totally planning on getting a 32G iPhone in April as a birthday deal/upgrade to my current 2 year old not smart phone. I have an 8G iPod Touch (not enough memory on it for me) and it's a neat device and I like having music and apps and shit on it and being able to check in and communicate on it when I'm at work (via Wifi). I've dicked around with the iRig and Amplitube,...and I can see it being a useful practice tool/headphone amp while traveling or doing late night practice seshes; but it's not the end all that devices like those claim to be.
Nothing will replace analog circuits and amps IMO. YMMV.
I'll get my iPhone,...cram it full music and a few apps and treat it like a phone for texting. But yeah,...people getting pwned because their head is down is entertaining to watch,...but maybe that's just cause I'm a hockey fan.

According to the "post your age" thread this is aimed at about 80% of our forum's demographics... Half the products at this years NAMM were i-related... Apple sold more ios devices last year than they have sold Mac's in 28 years... If it's not for you it's not for you but if we had a shitpuke thread for every dumb product we would never talk about anything else... I've worked for phone related companies for the past 12 years and I hate the phone so I'm not sticking up for this at all, just saying... I like my Flashback and you can load stuff on that, it's just the beginning of this area of the guitar world so don't hate too much... Or do it's all relative...

Two istomps = console?

the problem with digitech is that their istomp thingers and consoles are basically really good ideas executed terribly.
it should be a realm more for experimentation rather than emulation, and i think that has been the utter failing of most guitar processing thusfar

I can't wait for what this stuff's going to turn into in the future. This product specifically looks stupid because you pay for the pedal and then you have to pay $5 for each additional pedal you want to use.

Not only am I that demographic, but I also own an iPhone. But, like, man, I just like actual pedals.

I also own an iPhone and I am in now way impressed by the iStomp. I do like some music software apps for the iPhone (think Moog) but pedal emulations are lame. Use the technology to do something that blows my mind instead of rehashing what's already out there.
