Its an Edwards E-LP-98LTC (whatever that means)

Seriously, it's amazing. I've been looking at getting a Les Paul for years but never really knew where to go without spending a massive amount of coin and for a long time I was wanting a LP Studio but never got one because the the price was a little more than I would have liked and the weight always put me off. I was then looking for a nice Japanese copy in good condition, though I noticed that there weren't many around without Rosewood.

Until I found one with Ebony, which is my absolute favourite fretboard material.

Specs:
BODY : (Top)Hard Maple, (Back)Mahogany
NECK : Mahogany
FINGERBOARD : Ebony , 22frets
SCALE : 628mm (24.75 inch) / Medium
JOINT : Set-Neck
PICKUPS : (Front) Seymour Duncan SH-1n, (Rear) Seymour Duncan SH-4
CONTROL : Front & Rear Volume
Front & Rear Tone
Toggle PU Selector
BRIDGE : Tune-Matic / Stop Tailpiece

Also, I bought the thing on Tuesday from Japan and got it today. Seriously, If I were to buy a guitar from Sydney I probably wouldn't get the damn thing untill next week.

So yeah, the action is a little high for me. Going to get it set up w/ .12s in B F# B E G# B tuning. Also I'm planning to replace the pup covers as (for some reason) they're a little rough looking though they sound awesome.

Congats, that's a sweet looking guitar! I have been lusting after an Edwards LP Bass, they are available on Ebay for around $900 shipped. But I haven't seen one or know anyone who has played one, so I have been wary of spending that kind of coin going in blind.

Only guitar I've ever owned with an ebony board is my LP Custom. Look and feel cannot be beat plus it's hella strong and easy to maintain until a refret comes due. That can be a costly, time consuming job if you plan on avoiding damage but I'll worry about that when the time comes...

Congrats on your find, very nice!
