So I want to know what is your most overpriced guitar/bass pedal
personally, I think some tubes pedal are really $$$ like:
Effectrode Vibra Chorus Pedal
Plush Replay Jr. Tube Delay
vox dual overdrive ( I don't know if it's all the same for the cooltron serie, but when you open it you realize there is nothing in it)
So I want to know what is THE most overpriced stompbox, have spent a lot on but wasn't worth it

Well, the most I've ever paid for a pedal is $180 (Vexter Fuzz Factory). But, as far as the pedal I consider the most overpriced? Joe Bonamossa Fuzz Face. The very definition of "paying for the name on the pedal" if you ask me.

LoFi Loop Junky. Rulez but costly!
It's unique though, I've never heard anything come remotely close until recently in an El Cap sound-on-sound demo. El Cap is probably a better way to spend that cash if we're talking price = function, well, closer at least...

Wait, wut?
What are the criteria for being overpriced?
Is it a pedal that you think you've paid too much for or a pedal that other people think you've paid too much for?
I think being overpriced is generally subjective.

Well, here's my perspective:
I don't fault small companies with like, 2 employees and limited time for charging high prices on pedals. Even though it's way out of my price range, I understand why the Eau Claire Thunder is $275.
Generally I think a pedal is overpriced when the price has more to do with the name attached to it, or with artificially created scarcity, as is the case with the JBFF.

But werent they substantially less when they came out? Are we talking retail or fanboy markup? Are we talking price in relation to workmanship?
I think alot of the audible disease products are disgustingly expensive for the shoddy product and complete lack of customer support. Devi products are getting pretty expensive lately and ive never seen one that would justify me spending over 100 on it. Not that i would pay a dime for any of her shit nowadays... Obvs Death by audio should go in here although i think the quality is coming up somewhat. I was pretty gtfo at aen raising all of his prices by $25. Not that i think his pedals are poorly made or anything but personally i wouldnt pay 275 for an ECT esp when you can buy one for like 150 used all day.
Edit: and as far as value for the money goes i give huge bigups to fuzzhugger subdecay and dr sci. The make consistently well made pedals at reasonable prices with great customer support. Also spunkies. His pedals are GORGEOUSLY built and have alot of care put into them that reflects in the end product.

I agree on Devi's stuff but then I have no plans to buy anymore.. and DBA yeah.. I own a Ron from Bongripper's custom IOD and to me it was not worth what is was even used... ECT though... I don't know.. that is one hell of a pedal and I've been thinking lately of bugging Aen for one with a different tone stack

or seeing if he'd mod mine... 'corse I traded Aen for most of my Dwarfcraft stuff
