I haven't recorded in a long, long time. I finally got the chance to sit down for about two hours and nock this EP out. Two tracks, about twenty minutes worth of music. Some of 'GIVE' expands on the concepts I fooled around with in the video I posted in the pedalboard thread a few days ago. I wanted it to have an extremely raw feel to it, and I specifically mastered it to sound like it was degrading. As I was recording it my headphones kept getting maxed out and that's what I was going for during the editing process. Each track contains two guitar tracks and programmed drums. I looped pretty much everything on my DD7 and a lot of it was improvised after the main riff.... That's about it. Let me know what you think!

What did you use for the drums?

dude. DUDE. LOVE how you gave the drums this "i'm going to destroy your speakers" sound!

Love it! The general melting-down-amp sound when it gets loud is amazing, did you just boost the crap out of it until the tracks clipped to get that?

Believe it or not, everything was recorded in garageband. Drums are programmed and I just mastered it on a 'live' setting to get it to sound like it was decaying. When I was monitoring everything, that's exactly how it sounded and I wanted to keep it pretty true to what I heard. I think I nailed the guitars pretty well for being direct in and not mic'd

Also, STRAT DOOM.
