For a brand new original Polychorus, that's a pretty good price.
In my experience it's sort of halfway between a chorus and flanger.

It can do some normal chorus and flanger sounds but it's definitely geared towards the weird. I'd compare it to a Cosmichorus or Sea Machine but it can't nail the normal, lush chorusing like the Dr. Scientist can. Kind of a metallic/clangy tone with many settings and the sweep is intense, sounds excellent with the dirt/fuzz. Think In Utero-era Nirvana, Scentless Apprentice, Radio-Friendly Unit Shifter....
When you say "original version brand new", are you referring to the Big Box Reissue vs the XO series? Either way, $125 is a killer deal if it's like new, you could easily flip it for profit if it didn't work out....

It's an awesome chorus as long as you aren't going for something more normal or subtle like the Small Clone. A couple issues: They can have some viscous clock noise at more extreme settings, maybe test that one out and see what you think? Don't take standard power, think it's 24V, center positive (verify that!) so keep that in mind if you don't plan on using the adapter.

Noticed the noise. And it's actually touted as being less noisy than the OG Poly Flange

Although, I have to say I was able to dial in some more conventional type chorus sounds with it. 125 is a great price though, really.
