Guitar detuner/octave down thingers

Hey guitarists, excuse my bassy ignorance. I've never really needed to look into this before and search brought up nothing much. Anyways, the new project I'm in has two guitarists with the singer having the ability to add a third to the mix on some songs....it's kinda cool because they're open to me experimenting on ambiance like stuff with my Timeline and other toys.....so...if I were going to do that...what's the best detuner or octave down thinger or other pedal (cheap, too) that would help one of the guitarists simulate a bass sound?

Does a detuner even get that low....or am I looking for more like an octaver?

Thanks.

Micro pog seems like a good choice, if you dont want dirty octave

Assuming the guitarists play at least a little dirty, then yeah, the micro pog will do just fine. The guitarist in my covers band uses one of the new Whammy DTs, which lets him drop in half-steps all the way down from e to a, then down to an octave if he wants. When playing clean, it sounds a little digital and chirpy, but a little dirt smoothes all of that shit out.

Whoa. That Whammy DT looks awesome. Makes me wish one of them had a decent job. Heheh. But that thing looks cool.

The Micro Pog is a little bit more in the price range. Thanks guys.
