Good = Reliable. I have two behringer pedals and while they cop some pretty good tones they don't like to switch properly about half the time.
Cheap = under 80 bucks
Digital = Uses zeros and ones. But seriously, analog is OUT for this one. I had a memory boy at one point, i traded it for a 535Q. Don't regret that one bit. Timbre annoyed me

Ibanez DE7. Hands down.

Digidelay. Totally kicks ass. Even has a short loop function. Can get your sterile clean digital repeats or tape like modulation. Believe you can get them for under eighty quite easily.

Digidelay is not bad, and is much better at being a clean repeats kind of delay than a let's try to sound like analog kind of delay IMO. I do wish it had a tone knob, though. Mine is still functional in 6 out of 7 modes after getting a glass of water dumped on it.

I think some peeps here like the Muza FD900 reverb/delay, and it'd be right around your price point new.

Edit: Also if the switching is the only problem with the Behringers you could just stick them in a true bypass loop, which would be really cheap to make or have made.

I liked my digidelay a whole bunch, definitely worth the price.

DOD DFX9, best digidelay on the cheaps. Putting the trimpots on the outside is cool too

Agreed. Find a used one on eBay if the new price is too high.

I'd say boss hands down. Super reliable. If try and find a DD-2.

Another vote for the Digitech Digidelay. Cool modes, lots of options, and nice to the wallet. I use one on my big board. Also of note, the Digidelay trails after switching into bypass. I like and make heavy use of this feature, though it may not be ideal in certain song structures. Second to the Digi, a Boss DD-3. Cheap, reliable, and has a brief sample mode. I might have one up in bartertown after while...

Delta Labs digital delay, super awesome, simple digital delay. They are $50 new, and there is a used one in the bst for $20. I'd hit that quick.

+1 for the Muza fd900 couldn't love mine more, and while I haven't had any quality issues with mine they are known to have noise problems.

I'd look for either the dd2 or dd3 or go for one of the dsd-2 or dsd-3's. They're rad.

In that price range used Digidelay.

Works, nothing fancy, sounds decent.

The analog etc isn't perfect but it's an old, old design.
