HAYLOOOO.
I was playing with my "new" (i.e. recently acquired) 1978 v3 Small Stone the other day and was wondering about a pedal that you could somehow connect to your effects chain that allows you to place it before or after the effect(s) you want it to affect.
For example, if I wanted to have my phaser before or after my Big Muff, but only had one phaser, and only one Big Muff... could there be some sort of looper or circuit that allows you to, with the click of a switch, change the placement of your phaser in relation to the Muff?
guitar --> big muff --> phaser in pre/post loop --> amp
You put your phaser in the loop, somehow plug the rest of your effects chain into that, and then you have a way to have pre- or post- phasing or whatever other way you want to do it.
Seems like this probably exists, I've just never seen it, and don't know what to call it.

Yeah, there are effects order switchers out there.
One of them that I know about is the Toadworks Roundabout.
But it would actually be really easy to DIY, so I bet you one of the many guys around here could do it for you. Hell, I could do it for you, but it would just be a plain metal box because I have no idea how to put any sort of artwork on boxes.

Aaaaaaaaaahhh... I should have known that Loopmaster made one. I had a similar idea for a switcher/order/A/B kind of thing (
http://www.loop-master.com/product_info ... ucts_id=78) and there was one on Loopmaster so I ordered it! Maybe I'll contact Brian about one of these.
Thanks!

Welp... almost 4 years later!
With new thread subject title!
Has anyone ever tried one of these? I still haven't since I posted this ass, but I'm in THE BLACK MARKET for one again.
Loopmaster, Nose, American Loopers, T1M, etc.
Loopmaster and Nose are the cheapest, $60 and $55 respectively. I need one that goes vertically as opposed to horizontally because doesn't everyone? Loopmaster I've bought a few pedals from and they take a long time to make and the quality is only so-so. Nose I've never dealt with but I thought that guy posted on ILF.
Anyway... just wondering if anyone ever blasted one of these.

I think he got burned by Dan on a deal, but I am kinda curious myself. Why you say this?

Dude has been a serial shit head to dozens of people in regards to custom work, repairs and general shit quality.
People on TGP are ever so salty about it.
Nose are pretty shitty too. My local store stopped carrying them because they kept breaking or were DOA. They just look kinda cute.

Yup. Paid him to rehouse a pedal (a Behringer FCB midi foot controller) and got strung along for months while he was "working" on it. Eventually he said "it can't be done it won't fit" (though if he had said something to me about it instead of avoiding emails I could have told him there is a power supply mod) and "I've spent way too much time on this to spend another second." Then radio silence for over a year despite repeated emails. In the end I got some of the money back by filing a complaint with the BBB, but I never got my pedal back...

Well geez.
I guess I'll go back to Loopmaster then... not a bad price and I'm sure it will work for a while. My one switcher that I have from them is pretty good but it's starting to fall apart on me... although I must admit I've used it for hundreds of practices and maybe fifty shows. Ok I'll stop whining.
