Hello hello.
My PAL and I were looking through his Hit Paraders from the '70s at the neat black and white Electro-Harmonix ads... wherein you can buy a "Ram's Head" Big Muff for $49.99. And a Small Stone and a bunch of other cool shit.
Anyway, there is also an add for the Ovation Breadwinner, which is a really sweet looking guitar. Toss some P-90s in there and WHAT A TREAT. My favourite part was the perhaps overly-modest tagline: "Ovation Electric Guitars: They're Worth A Try!". Now THAT'S confidence.
I know Eastwood makes a replica of the Breadwinner... anyone ever played the real thing?

if you find an Ovation electric, don't do ANYTHING to the PUs...the original PUs KILL. Ovations are some of the most underrated electrics on the planet, and just two or three years ago you could still get Vipers and Preachers for like $600.

I played a Viper at a shop in VT once, and it played like a dream. Been curious about those ever since.

Indeed, cleave your foes in twain and revel in the bloodbath.
I do really like Ovation headstocks, with their weird poleaxe-ness.

If you held The breadwinner upside down by the headstock it'd be a waraxe.

Woah I want one of those "Preacher" guitars. It's like a rounded out SG.. That's so dope.
