Almost anything I already dislike would fit under this category, so a large amount of hip hop made after 1993.

What about bands that you listened to while high and thought were pretty good and then listened to while not high and thought they sucked?

What about bans you listened to not high and thought they were awesome, then listened to them high and they were even more awesome?

OMG, one time I listened to Sigur Ros high, and it was too much. I couldn't handle the awesome.

This totally cracked me up. (I think maybe because it's true?)

Absolutely is. My life experience has shown me that the truth is typically far funnier than anything you could ever make up.
But on topic, Animal Collective bore the shit out of me to the point of pissing me off, but sometimes drugs make them bearable.

Not awesome/got high awesome/now awesome any way: Modest Mouse. They kinda annoyed the shit out of me cause I had heard one or two songs, and to me they both sucked. Listened to them proper one day, and now they are dammed awesome. Good stories, catchy riffs and words, and the backing instruments vary quite a bit. I like em.
Awesome while high/sober they blow donkey balls: Sublime. Yeah...
Awesome/even more awesome high: Castevet

The Mars Volta, a few years back. Now they make my day a lot.
With Radiohead, I didn't get the hubbub, or really even listen properly to what they were doing before 'Hail To The Thief' collided with some Laughing Buddha Cheese and made sweet love to my entire brain.
Both bands I dig mightily, and are the reason that high or otherwise, I'll always give something a fair go, to avoid missing out on possible favorites in the future.

Pretty much...anything?
Okay, well maybe not ANYthing after dev's post...but you know what I mean.
By the way, I can stare at the Milkdrop visualizations for Winamp for hours.

Enter the Wu-Tang was something I didn't get until I was high on LSD on 4/20. There were teddy bears on QVC channel and the whole afternoon was just awesome. Then a little later, the Columbine massacre occurred and that kinda fucked up the high. Thank God I was coming down, but boy was I confused.
I had MBV's Loveless since it came out, but it didn't really click until me and a bunch of friends were on mushrooms. Then it clicked BIGTIME. And it keeps on clickin'.
And I thought I really like Animal Collective for a minute because I liked Panda Bear's first solo (which I heard first) and saw the video for AC's 'Peacebone' which enticed me to buy Strawberry Jam. I forced myself to listen despite how uninteresting it was revealing itself to be. Then the Merriweather Post Pavilion came out, and as people everywhere gushed, I realized, thanks to weed, that they suck. They really do.
Not Sublime though, I'll defend that band forever, high or no.

Of course, after posting that, I can't get AC's "Girls" out of my head. But just that song!
