I have too many pedals to fit on one One Spot enough pedals to justify a larger power supply unit. What do you suggest? I currently have a One Spot, which works fine but does leak in noise. The options I see are getting another One Spot, although I don't know how much more/less noisy that would be, or looking into a power brick. I'm building a pedal board out of an IKEA Gorm shelf, so I'd like something that I could mount under it.

I currently have 10 pedals, and will probably call my board finished at about 13 or 14. So I'd like something that can either power that many pedals, or is cheap enough so I could get two of them. I should note that I don't have anything that runs on 12V or 18V, so having those options isn't important. I'm mounting a power strip under my board, so if I need a weird power unit I can just add one.

Well noise comes from the type of pedals you daisy chain...some just don't like to be on a daisy chain. Do you need to power anything with exotic power requirements? A PP2+ is usally the best option but depending on what you have there might be a better choice out there. What are you pedals currently?

If you want to avoid noise leak from the power supply you will need isolated outs, that eliminates the power brick. Plus powering 13 to 14 pedals will need atleast 2 power supplies. Unfortunately that doesnt add up to cheap. I'd look into VooDoo labs, t-rex, cioks (sp?), and custom builders. I believe someone on here builds custom power supplies and could probably work with your dimensions and power needs.

I edited my post to add in information. I don't use anything that requires more than 9V, and I don't foresee getting any pedals that would use that.

The current line up: Korg Pitchblack, BAT Pharaoh, ss/bs TAFM, Boss ODB-3, EHX Freeze, Boss DD-3, TC Flashback, EQD Hummingbird, EQD Grand Orbiter.

I have a ring mod on the way, and a BBE Sonic Stomp that I have decided if I want to use in my set up.

PP2+ is excellent but you'll void the isolation once you start daisy chaining. This doesn't guarantee noise but makes it more likely. Maybe save some $$ and see if another OneSpot introduces any problems first....

I might just do that. Maybe try a combinations of 5-6 pedals and see if there's a lot of noise. I think the Pharaoh might be adding a lot of noise. But I've been wanting to get isolated units for a while now.

I believe McSpunkle was the person i was thinking of, if hes not making em right now i don't know who else would.

Yea go for a second one spot and if that doesn't do it return it and get a isolated guy.

Yeah, experiment a little, everyone has different opinions on what's acceptable when it comes to noise. That said, I hate noise/hum and power everything with two PP2+'s and a CIOKS DC10. That's a bunch of pedals, zero daisy chaining, and zero noise.

If it comes down to comparing isolated supplies, the PP2+ is super reliable but limited to more standard power requirements. It does sport a courtesy AC jack for high draw pedals though. The CIOKS has way more available output/flexibilty and can handle most any DC powered pedal with ease. It also costs a bit more. It's just a matter of current and future requirements.

I don't know about the quality of these things, but they guy sells them cheap on Ebay. For under $40, I figure once I run out of spots on my DC Brick, I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, I was hoping to pick up a Team Tesla but I'm waiting to see if he gets the problems all sorted out.

Also, those Logsdon Audio units sound good, and I haven't seen anything bad about it on TGP, so I might try them out. Coincidentally, I found someone selling two units, which would give me the amount of outlets I need*.

Artec has a power supply out that claims to be isolated. It's got 8 spots, two of which have a sag control that you can adjust from 6v to 9v...it looks like a pretty good pp2 knockoff for 60 bucks shipped on eBay...

BBE Supa Charger is cheap and good. Got mine for $140-ish from Amazon.

Anyone know anything about Fame stuff? it might be EU-based thing btw
