Help Me Pick My Next V2: Crazy Fuzz!

So this went so well the first time that I'm doing it again. This is your chance to weigh in on what fuzz pedal I buy this week.

I want something crazy, with octave up and subtle oscillation, but also splattery, freakout, etc. Think less bassy Soda Meiser, Ampeg Scrambler, Fender Blender. Oh, and it must be under $200.

Here are the current contenders:

Dwarfcraft Shiva
SSBS 4545
INFANEM Second Voice

Go!

I have been loving my Unpleasant Surprise, it is way more versatile than I thought it would be and I've had some great results stacking it with my other pedals. Only had it a few days so I'll let it soak awhile longer, but for now I'm loving it. No oscillation, but very splattery and freakoutable.

I don't know what this means but I think you want an Ab-Synth.

This is an excellent suggestion as well.

My favorite for the oscillation is the AB-Synth 5k.
With the 5th knob, you can reduce the gain and get more subtle.

What about a Warhorse?

I have an AB-Synth. :D
And love it. This is actually kinda exactly the opposite of what I'm looking for.
When the oscillation is on, it's pretty damn obvious. And when it's not, the fuzz is pretty damn "clean," if that makes sense.

I'm actually working on a demo of it now. :)

Good idea. It's on my list. I'm partially trying to give someone besides Devi a go. Hyperion is staying on my board, and it crosses into SM territory in the higher control area.

I've only used the Shiva out of those three... but I think it is worth a shot for what you are looking for... it can get rather splattery and oscillates. In it's own way it reminds me a at times of if a superfuzz could really go nuts.

I would suggest a 4545. Except it won't do the octave. Unpleasant Surprise, except it won't do the oscillation. Fuzz factory, except it won't do the scrambly US thing.

Maybe a super puzzle?

I'd like to suggest the Great Destroyer :animal: as a medicine for any ails but I'd choose Shiva or the 4545.

Did You have a Mangler, ever tried the Bit Mangler? Yeah I know, a tad higher price but a used one perhaps? Or perhaps You'd like the Phantom Arcade? It should do it all.

I miss my mangler

That was sonic destruction.
