Got it on a partial trade...and when I set it back to heel down, the pedal sags.
This is not okay.

Buy a different expression pedal.
The EP-2's better than the EP-1, but not by much. They're both pretty disposable.

OK. OK.
I'm not at home now. So, I don't have access to my EP-2, but isn't the tension on the treadle adjusted by that little piece of string or something?
Is there some way to tighten that?

I think he means the pedal slips back down towards the toe position.
