What is your ideal guitar/pickups for noise rock?

I saw a thread where a guy thought his perfect noise rock guitar would be an EGC. He couldn't afford one so he wanted alternatives as he didn't think his Les Paul was working well for it. I was thinking that a Jazzmaster would be my ideal as it has single coils, a trem, and you can get some great sounds playing behind the bridge.

Any thoughts on your ideal noise rock guitar?

Jaguar.

Although that would be my answer to any genre, so I'm totally biased. I loves me some Jaguars.

For me it's a ric with a trem or a hollow body jazzmaster.

I've had the Bilt guys do a set-up on a couple of my guitars. Nels Cline played one for a few songs when Wilco played in Des Moines.....he also gave a shout out to the Bilt guys as they are based out of Des Moines.

i don't think it matters.

i'm venturing more and more into noisy rock, and i love the sound of p90's

my main guitar is a reverend and my backup is an italia, and i'm looking into buying a telecaster...

ANY guitar works, honestly

This pretty much. I can see the benefits of having a trem, but other than that, I don't think there's a real difference.

Also, what makes aluminum guitars/necks so desirable? I've never played one so I don't really know what they're like...

anything with shitty as fuck shielding that feeds back a fuckton.

i think the "draw" for aluminum necks is a crisper tone or summat. but the real draw is the people who used them.
