DON'T USE PEANUT BUTTER!!! GOD!!! EAT THE PEANUT BUTTER!!! and use oil or butter to remove the goo... peanut butter is far too delicious to waste with goo..

Compromise:
Skim the oil off the top of organic peanut butter and use that.

I always pry up a corner with either my nail or a credit card. the use pliers to peel it off. Then use goo gone and a rubber scrapper for dishes to get off all the residue.

I usually rub the residue off with my thumb before selling it but otherwise I don't care.
