Trying to find the name of a composer

A while ago I heard this song, classical, super dissonant, pretty slow if I remember correctly. Amazing.
Have been trying to find it again, but I can't remember the name of it or the name of the composer. I think he was french.
Anybody have any ideas?

Super dissonant? Leo Brouwer (Cuban) or Toru Takemitsu (Jp obviously) maybe?
Edgard Varese is French though and generally sounds like an orchestra falling down a flight of stairs in slo-mo...
EDIT: clip

Edgard Varèse probably. The man was a genius.

Nope. Neither of those. Never heard them before though, so thank you for introducing me to them.
What I'm thinking of was either mostly or all on piano, if that helps.

Like that amount of dissonance, but slow, and maybe what you might call minimalist. Damn I wish I could remember more. It was a while ago though.

Edgar Varèse would be the most obvious choice.
I like these guys, neither of whom are French:

Messiaen is the only modern French composer I can think of that hasn't been named.

That's it!
I didn't remember the violin and cello for some reason. And I remembered it being a little more intense than it actually is also.
The funny thing is I found out it was him just before I saw your post when I came back to this thread to tell everyone who it was. I literally went to my old UG profile and went through my like 1600 posts until I found where someone had recommended this to me.
