That's awesome.

My old band did a metal version of House of the Rising Sun (2 electric guitars, 1 acoustic guitar, and a drummer), except the "vocals" were all whistling done by the entire band.

This has brought joy to my heart... or my non-heart?

That may be tough. I think one of the other guitarists may have a recording of it, but I'm not sure. I'll see what I can dig up.

that is officially my favorite version of that song ever. i started arranging a supercheesy metal one with guitar pro (here it is), but i never bothered to finish it because i couldn't actually play it. now i can just say it's because the best version of the song already exists and nobody needs to cover it anymore.

But a shitload of programming... I had to program the super mario sound with a pic microcontroller for a project for school.. that was a ton of work.. but THAT.... that is more than just more work. much more.

i'm going to have to give the nod to the Radiohead clip for sheer fucked-upness, though big ups to the Animals clip for biting almost all the Alan Price part from the original.
