Do you have any gear regrets?

I have a couple. I've just sold my Moog 104-z and although I will miss it I know I'll always have the chance to play it again.
When I talk regrets I mean shit you'll NEVER see again
I'll start with what I've sold...
Custom Tele
put together, wired and setup by me back when I was in and out of rehab (then re-setup it up when sober

wiring was all good tho!)

Custom Fuzz Factory
my first custom boutique pedal that I bought new. It's still maybe 1 of 3 or 4 things that I've bought new: the rest were all used. it was this exact one and the finish was absolutely fucking flawless. one of the few pedals were aesthetics were a large selling point (having owned a fuzz factory AND a probe at the time already

)

And the biggest? My first "real" vintage amp (bought it the same time I had a MIA Blues Junior and sold it for fuck all

):
Mine was the same as this but in BETTER condition with all the rad knobs... they were like 30-watt Gibson-amp copies or sommink.

Share in the sobbing

I've got so many more that I haven't had the money and seen but had the money a week later
Or worse yet find one at a pawn shop, tell them to hold it, leave my amp with them as a deposit, and he sells it and tells you that you can have your amp back if you want

in the very early 90's, I had a 1976 Gibson Firebird. great, great guitar.
I don't even remember what I traded it for, but it was a dumb, dumb trade.

Kind of related...
My dad means well but sometimes I end up with gear gifts that just don't work out, like when I got an older 120watt Crate head and it died instantly a few days later. Or when I ended up mangling a Strat copy beyond all repair. That one was a learning experience, but man...it didn't die in cool way, it was more like "I think it needs to be put down".
I truly appreciate it and I feel like shit if it breaks, whether it was my fault or not. Well it's a little worse if I messed it up.
Other than that, selling my TAFM...but we worked that out

Oh yeah and I sold one of these for $400 in 2006 which I later spent on festival tickets/alcohol

Mine was a 71 with all original hardware (including the white-tip tuners and Fender Blender knobs <3 <3 <3)

I pimped mine with a JB-Jr at the time but sold it with the original and put the JB in a Strat... /csb

i've parted ways with lots of awesome gear. but my biggest 3 biggest regrets are probably a Rhodes 88 suitcase piano, a blackface Deluxe, and a Rickenbacker 330. even though i finally got another 330, its just not the same as the one i had before.

I don't have any regrets yet, but my grandpa reminds me of his regret all the time. He had a 1967 Gibson acoustic he bought new, he was never too fond of the tone, but he traded it straight up for an Ovation acoustic/electric, like a $500 guitar tops. Could have gotten way more for the Gibson obviously. However he still did pass me down a '69 Gibson, I just wish it has been 2 vintage gibbys.

I don't think I've ever had serious gear regret, but miss some pedals from time to time. But never enough that I hate myself.
But I do regret selling my cheap digitech phaser for even cheaper not too long ago. Now that I have this keyboard, I definitely would have utilized it more.
It had a step mode, it gliched out in trigger modes, and it had this crazy psychedelic sweep mode, too. Really didn't like it on guitar, but would love to get one again.

I've never regreted selling gear honastly
Buying however... Roland jet phaser, a $400 noisy piece of shit with
severe volume drop issues. Taught me one valuable lesson tho: that
generally all vintage pedals aside from fuzzes, suck.
