So I am slowly building a pedal collection and recently found out about the Cathedral. My only question to you folks is if it is the most complete reverb pedal on the market right now? I dont know if I should get it or the Line 6 Verbzilla. ALso if any of you own one I would love to hear about it and maybe your most favorite settings.

That may be true. But budget wasn't brought up, only if the Cathedral is the most complete reverb on the market. The Space slays the Cathedral all day every day, and doesn't even break a sweat.

The Cathedral puts you in Mini RRR territory; it doesn't have your reverse-gated-infinate-plates but, all nine modes sound damn nice in every clip I've heard.

I have been rockin a Cathedral for over a year now and am still happy with it and still coax new sounds out of it.
Keeping the reverb level fairly high and the blend low is one way I was using it and doing the opposite gets neat tones too.
Very versatile and I doubt I will ever get rid of it but I would probably scoop up a RRR if I saw one cheap and had the scratch.

Gd SPace is fucking awesome but $500 is intense. But again, it does have a few more options than the Cathedral.

And yeah Ive only heard great things about both the Verbzilla and Cathedral. Verbzilla is just alot cheaper and not as advanced, but still pretty nice

Had one for a couple of years now. The presets definitely come in handy and the reverse is awesome for MBV. I can't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon.

So what kind of ghost-like effects can you get on it? Because Ive wtahced Youtube demos but no one ever does unique setting in demos. Im looking for very odd, ghost.ufo-like reverb going on.

My bassist and another local guitarist have Cathedrals. They're extremely sexy sounding, I'd say your other option is the Dr. Scientist RRR. But this here Eventide Space dongle... looks like it's pretty complete despite its higher price range.

Cathedral+RRR is tits.

Just sayin. getboth

I use the Cathedral for a bright, looonnngggg spring reverb or a like 80% wet reverse.

Awesome pedal, doesn't seem to get as much recognition as it should. I just picked up a super cheap Boss RE20 Space Echo, so i'm pretty excited to hear how those two sound together!
