Fuzz similar to Big Muff?

I be looking for a fuzz pedal with similar qualities (the BIG sound, heaviness, etc.) of a normal US Big Muff but fuzzier if that makes sense. The BM is simply too smooth for me anymore. I'm not looking for a splattery pedal. Any suggestions for a fuzz similar to a BM but less smooth and more :omg: ?

Blackout Effectors Musket

Many more but those are a couple I own and love.

I'd look at the EQD Hoof, Dirt Transmitter, Fuzz War, Meathead, OX, Centurion, Elements (maybe), TAFM (for sure!), Fix'd (for sure!), and the BAT stuff.

Buzzaround or DizzyTone -- either way talk to Ian at Ghost.
From the description, I suspect you'd like the Dizzytone

Really feeling Skinpimp's Buzzaround... pretty close to what I had imagined. But please keep the suggestions coming! :snax: Gonna be up for days researching...

Buzzaround can still be pretty smooth. Dizzytone is "like having your face chewed off wit ha rusty chainsaw" :)

But is the Dizzytone icepicky or sharp and thin sounding? I fear that the most. Anyone's opinions on the EQD Hoof fuzz or Catalinbread Manx?

Dizzytone is definitely not thin sounding. No worries there.

I would also suggest a park fuzzsound if you get someone to build you one. But again that circuit is pretty much the same as the buzzaround or the Dizzytone.

Two Big Muffs.
Seriously.
You mat be able to get what you want by stacking another Fuzz/Distortion with the Big Muff you already have.
Cranked Big Muff>Cranked Big Muff=Fuzz on Fuzz Violence
:idk:

I had a RAT into a black russian BM for a while. Got the midrange and treble of the rat mixed with the huge bass of the bmp...tone knob rolled all the way back. Pulverized my clean fender solid state amp into a doomy oblivion. So I like this idea a lot. :!!!:

Has anyone had any personal experience with the swollen pickle? I hear those are good at delivering the muff tones, except even heavier and with more tonal options and control. Supposedly gets a fuzz face sound on lower gain settings too...Tweakable mid range and everything. And they're cheap on ebay!
