Would It be possible to take just the bass pedals out of a Hammond organ and just use them separately?

With the associated tone generation/preamp circuitry and adjustments for impedance and levels...yeah.

I have an organ. I don't have $1900. What are some of the cheaper units?

on ebay I saw some yamaha unit. it was probably at least 10 or 15 years old. what you want is a organ pedalboard that has sounds built in. there are lots of modern organ pedalboards available with midi for a reasonable price. but you need a sound module. then you have two power supplies boooooo. too much junk. if your lucky you can find something with onboard sounds and a midi out. for a live show it doesn't really matter how perfect your bass sounds IMO.
