Turns out, I'm dumb

Okay, so I've been jumping the channels on my AC30C2 for some time now. I've had it run: instrument into Normal High, jumper from Normal Low to Top Boost High.
I went to play the other day and noticed my amp seemed a lot more quiet than usual. After freaking out for a minute, I noticed the jumper cable had come out of the Top Boost High jack slightly.
I pushed it in and all my volume came back, but I don't feel like I have the headroom I had before the whole incident.
I never take the jumper out and I always lay my amp on it's back during transit, so it is possible it has been partially unplugged for quite some time.

Could I have damaged my amp by running a cable partially plugged in for a long period of time, or am I just too dumb to remember how I had my amp set beforehand?

I think you are just too dumb to remember how you had your amp set beforehand.

I really don't see how having a partially plugged in jumper could damage anything.
This being said, I'm not a tech and anything is possible. :idk:

Did you adjust the amp while freaking out so your settings are off? That's what I do.

Otherwise, I'd suggest leaving the jumper plugged in so the mojos can build back up. You have clearly shattered your reserve of fragile upper mid harmonics. Your top boost needed a little warming up and reconnecting, not just a jack jamming.

i accidentally plugged my pedals in backwards. as in, guitar to output and amp to input. and i was like WTF IS GOING ON. so i tried it with another pedal and did the same thing. i was like 5 minutes from emailing Tom about what was wrong before i realized wtf i did.

I almost sent a pedal to Aen for repair once because I just so happened to try introducing it into my chain with three different dead patch cables in a row. Emailed him and everything.

I work at one of the biggest music stores in czech republic... my biggest faux pas so far probably has been me tuning an Epi Firebird - i was confused by the reverse headstock, turning the opposite pegs i should've been turning -.-
