so, sucks that so many neat builders are far enough away it's a bitch for y'all to take a flyer on a pedal that you might not like and get RAPED by customs/shipping.  was thinking about putting together a box of some stuff and do mini tourboxy-style thing.  anybody want in?

PM sent! 4545 is one of the pedals I'd be most interested in trying, but it does have that awesome custom finish so I get the worry about it. FWIW I'd be super careful and make sure everything went on the way it came to me, especially since it's nice of you to even do this in the first place.

Regarding customs etc. I think you can not pay custom / get refunded if you are only testing them. Somehow I hope the customs office weeds out Behndys package so that I can try that. Another reason for me to have him send it to my work - I work at a newspaper, that makes a professional review the more likely. We would not even be cheating the customs. So yeah, if they nail this one, I'll let you know how the review thing worked out.

About customs, if they do end up being dicks and charging people, we could all contribute to that, it seems unfair to me to stick one or two people with the customs charges. Depends on where people are from, if it's mainly EU then there won't be many possibilities for customs charges anyway.

surely shipping to the eu/customs should be covered by the receivers anyway? i'd hate to think behn was loaning his pedals and putting up the cash too

Customs is for the first person that receives the pedals since after that it's open border EU fun. Which is why figuring out who can receive it without having to pay it is preferable.

of course Gozah! you good people! ILF is a way smaller community than TB, and way less chance of random shady peoples, i just want to make sure gear'll be going to peepa that will take care of it and appreciate it.

good to know Phantasmo! yah, lemme know how they treat that package (giggety). it might make the most sense to just send some extra stuff to you and have you be the jumping off point. we'll see how it shapes up/who all is in.

re: 4545 - yeah man. it's a BEAST of a pedal. i know most every efx nerd on here is as obsessed with Purdy Things as i am, i wouldn't be worried about cha'll mistreating a pedal in the slightest.

re: customs fees - yah, i got no problem if i get hit on a fee when they're on the way back, we'll just figure out the best way to do this to avoid that madness as soon as we have a list.
