If you've seen or heard the Henretta Choad Blaster, you'll like the Bluebird Fuzz. It's a tiny pedal with a big sound. Plus Kevin's a great guy and fellow Chicagoan.

Hey, cool. Didn't know this was up here! I think these guys did a great job highlighting the simplicity and usability of the Bluebird.

Sorry for the disappointment. The Blue Box circuit is just at that level of complexity that makes it difficult to cram into a small, hand-soldered pedal like this. I haven't ruled it out and may put a similar octave circuit together for this line at some point...I think it'll be purple though.

hmmmmm.....i enjoy the idea of pocket sized purple octavers. YOU MAY STAY ON A TRIAL BASIS. GET TO WORK.

Looks like a purple octave will be #7 in the line then. Sweet! I still have the booster, OD, and trem to get out, but those are well underway.
The real questions are:
1. Up or down?
2. What do I name it?
I'm partial to octave down. The name has to have "purple" in it to fit with the rest. Or "violet" I guess.
Purple Nurple?
Purple Pony?
Purple Box?
Purple Passion?
Purple Power?
Paranurple?
Purple Pocket?

SRS THOUGH.....severe octave up. like bordering on noise octave up. There arent enough octave ups and if you do an ovtave down without controls onbody will buy it because mantis 2 and shit.

Yeah, now that I'm digging around, I'm seeing how much simpler the octave up circuits are. And I agree that an octave up would be the better choice for the no-knob set-and-forget format. This'll be a fun one. Thanks for the motivation!

I like the part when the hand reaches in to fiddle with the knobs and then is like "eh.."
Diggin' the sound bigtime by the way.

Nice job!
1both
2 purple piercer for +oct
Purple pooper for -oct
For +&- oct Purple poop piercer.
If you do both+/- and make it sound like WTF then no one will care about knobs
Then you could use similar hues for variations like +1oct would be violet and -1 would be maroon or magenta or fuschia.
