My Holy Grail is unreliable... replacement suggestions?

It's the full sized version. Constantly crackling, sound cutting out, etc, etc. I do like the sound though.
I have an Ekdahl Moisturizer, but I'm not going to be gigging with it.
Is the nano the same exact sound?
Should I choose a newer Holy Grail variant?
Can you recommend a comprable/cooler independent builder reverb I should try? I tend to saturate things in reverb

It's probably the footswitch going or a loose jack from what you say, should be an easy fix.
Nano Grail seems cool, then there's the Dr Scientist RRR, TC Electronic Hall of Fame, plenty of reverbs, depends on your price bracket and requirements.

I dig the EHX Cathedral. Lot of people complain about the digitalesque quality of this pedal, but I find it quite versatile and definitely inspiring. It's pretty much the Holy Grail with a few more settings(reverse, very cool) with extra tweakability(100% wet) and preset capacity. And I think it's around the same price as the Neunaber Wet(although I hear that one's the bee's knee's)

While the suggestions above are great purely reverb solutions, might I suggest a muza fd900?

Hall of fame can't go 100% wet, but the church mode, hall mode, and dark dall toneprint are all quite nice if you want to douse your sound in verb.

EQD Ghost Echo.
Not the most "springy" sounding, but it's a great pedal.
I like that Boss Fender '65 Reverb pedal too.

+1 on the wet, if you are on a budget go for a used Hall of Fame or RV-5. If I could only have one verb it would be the wet though.

RRR or Iron Ether Nimbus. Either one is absolutely fantastic.
