So to anyone here who has the coily bullet cables,
Is the color of your cable nice and glossy, or is not glossy and kinda dull?
I recently got the red kind, and i'm kinda disappointed that the color's not as glossy as the pictures i've seen online...

Older bullet cables are glossy. Ted gave me a couple black ones with straight plugs on both ends (instead of 1 str8, 1 right angle) and they are shiny like super shiny. The current red and balck ones are flat.

I can't imagine giving a toss whether a cable is shiny or not
(I have a Fender coily. It's black. From where I'm sitting it looks kinda shiny.)

my coily bullet cable is clear so you can see the cable inside, so that makes it look kinda shiny, but not glossy.

I think my bullet cable is flat, it's black: the radio shack coily is glossy, and it does affect the tone

If mine ever was shiny it's not now.
I practice in a warehouse with a pretty dusty floor and everything but the end that hangs from my guitar is covered in dust/dirt.
I've looked down a few times and thought "I should try and clean that" but I haven't yet.

i'm just glad i didn't pay full price for it because if i paid $42.95 for it, i better love every single thing about it

Mines an older black one and kinda glossy. I love the cable once I switched out the crappy bullet shaped plugs for some G&H's.

Hey all the Bullet Coil Cables are a "Satin" or "Matte" finish. The Jacket has absolutely nothing to do with the sound to answer (hbombgraphics).
The satin finish was made by choice why? Satin looks bad ass and is better under stage light. The early black classic ones where a smooth finish but all the colors are matte.

Hey Jiveturkey, thanks for using a Bullet Cable but I have some not so good news for you. The G&H plugs are a solid core brass barrel design that all Bullet plugs are equipped with. Our solid core barrel is 24k gold plated to keep it corrosion free a vital improvement. The difference between a copper core and a brass core barrel for signal integrity is immeasurable on an oscilloscope and there is no noticeable sound difference. We know because we tested both many years ago. The other feature that we do is to "potting" of the wire to plug connection this adds a lot of durability to the cable and seals it completely from the elements adding to the cables lifespan.
So unfortunately you did not improve the signal you just voided your warranty.
I am sure you will still have an amazing sound experience maybe just check first.
We responded to be friendly and helpful to the community and in no way criticize you personally.
