Help me with choosing a new shit (please?)

Allright, guys... i'm in the process of selling my Fulldrive, so naturally i'm looking for something new

first thing i'd consider is a new drive pedal - probably low to medium gain, nice and spanky with a telecaster, good for boosting fuzz (Fix'd Fuzz all the way)...

my budget is probably around $200 tops included shipping and 20% customs when bought from america. B/S/T is not a preffered possibility (when it comes to our customs office, i'd be afraid of proving the value with screens from a forum :idk: if anyone can weight in on this - please do)

first question: Has anyone had SCOD by Cbread? Can it do more transparent and juicy overdriven tones or is it just a full blast mofo? There's one near me for a reasonable price, but i wouldn't be using it for higain much, i prefer my Fix'f fuzz for that

second question: should i buy Phantom Flower instead?   i need an OD but...

I have heard of international transactions going best when you send the Paypal payment in two sums, one just to cover shipping, and the seller marks the item as "warranty repair - no charge", and then you print the Paypal receipt just for the shipping and voila - no customs charges. Or minimal ones anyway.

But I've only heard of that, I would never do something so nefarious. Never. Not once. Or twice.

It's got a great overdrive, it has a fantastic clean-ish boost mode, and it stacks with other pedals REALLY well.

I highly recommend one of these!

I know they look silly and not ideal in terms of size but they're so so so so soooo good!

Also don't forget to check around for coupons for buying online from the US (prymaxe, etc) :thumb:

That way you not only save moneyz on the item but taxes too (measly amount but still helps!).

I'm liking my BAT Black Forest a whole lot.

So, I'm gonna put in my plug for that.

I had an SCOD is more medium to high gain...doesn't sound quite like you described.
You might dig the wiio if you are looking at cbread pedals.

Paypal printouts work fine with german customs. ^ This might work. But I have never tried it and maybe Bassus can tell you something or the other about pedals, repairs and customs offices. If nothing else works over here they also accept it when you show them how much it is new (on f.ex. the builders' site) and then you have to py taxes as if you had paid that much. Depending on how good your deal was it might still be cheaper than buying new. Or just go to that barcelona store dude and buy the Earthquaker Speaker Cranker. Descriptions here sound amazing: viewtopic.php?f=176&t=20314

Pork Loin is a great suggestion.

I really dig my Barber Half Gainer. If you don't need the two channel thing, the Barber LTD or LTD SRs are great, dynamic low gainers and are great values.

also - Earthquaker White Light.

and not to get all gearpage on dat ass, but Timmy is exactly what you've described, and if you don't mind the wait it's another great value. $130 I think?

Everyone should own a Timmy or a Tim. Serious.

FUCK OVERDRIVE.

If that's too spensive, I'd say Timmy (even though I've yet to actually try one).

I love my SCOD, but it's not really "transparent." Really good for medium-gain stuff though.

FYI: Timmy waits have gone down to something like 3 months ;)

The second hand market has thankfully gone down because of it

I can't wait to get my Timmy.
With the AUD creeping up I made my purchase and it worked out to less than $100 for the Timmy :!!!:

Just food for thought/further GAS inducing facts... :poke:
