With all this flanger talk floating around ILF lately, I thought it might be nice to consolidate all things flangeresque into one thread.
Let's talk about flange!

While I bought my first (and so far only) flanger on a whim, I'd say that the first flange'd riffs that come to mind are the opening to Tool's 46&2 and the Floyd's Have a Cigar.
Goddamn, flanger, why you gotta be so much cooler than chorus?

I rock a purple Ross Flanger on the reg'lar. Internal trimpots opened up to let her wail.

My guitar player built me a BYOC stereo flanger to use on bass, and it is RIDONKULOUSLY awesome. However, it does seem to have some kind of weird timer / rate chirp that I can't figure out to get rid of... though I can lessen it in certain situations. Which is kinda sad, because I want this thing to have a place on my live board. Hmmm, I say, hmmmmm...

I once had the old 80's Boss Bass Flanger, did not like that one, really sucked, I lost it on tour and I did not cry..
Now I have a DOD Stereo Bass Flanger, can get pretty freaky with it's 4 knobs and the low end stays where it is!
I also have a Deluxe Electric Mistress, sounds cool and I love the filter matrix mode

Not that great on bass, but really nice on guitar..

I have the FX-75B, and I love it to death, except the bypass is absolutely awful.

Have owned Flanger Hoax and Arion Stereo Flanger.
Arion does some really cool stuff, traded the hoax.
I'd like to try some others out, though I really don't like the jet swoosh sound.

I generally prefer a flanger because it gets way more intense than chorus barring the poly chorus, flanger hoax, sea machine, and cosmichorus.

I've got a red one, and it rules!
Didn't know there was a purple one.
