The Uni-Vibe was an attempt at Leslie simulation. It has commonalities and might kind of work in a pinch as a Leslie sim by modern standards (as might other phasers), but it's really its own thing. So Uni-Vibe clones and derivatives are judged against the original and not against a Leslie.

I forget the technical difference between the Uni-Vibe and other phasers, but I know it sounds different.

staggered series of phasing filters, unlike the usually aligned filters of a normal phasing effect

That's the main diff of uni-vibe vs regular phaser pedals.

faster vibrato settings seem to get pretty decent leslie simulations. boss rotary is probably your best budget bet.

Strymon has a spot on Leslie sim if that's what your after.

we've been through this before :lol: i decided to go with Boss RT-20, but believe it or not - it's kind of an unobtanium

at least used... don't want to buy new AT ALL


was just wondering about vibes... because they are a rotary speaker sims too... thanks for helping, i guess that's not the way to go
