Amp?

I am in a transitional period with my amp situation and wanted to know what kind of amps you all are running through/suggest. I sold most of my recording gear after I lost my job and have just enough to get an amp.
I like a little bit of break up, but at the same time I want enough clean headroom to run my fuzzes uncolored if I choose. I also need to be quite loud. I was thinking maybe a Sound City 120 if the price is right, but realisticly am thinking about a Mig 100 U, I just don't know that it would be clean enough at the volumes I need to be.

I tried out one of thoughs Traynor amps at a guitar shop and it was pretty sweet. They have an 80 watt model you may want to check out if you need the headroom.

The old Traynors are nice, and not too pricey.
Check the 'Bay' for an Ampeg V4, big huge clean head room.
I think the Mig 100 is ok for a Marshal break up tone, but I don't think you'll get the clean head room your looking for.
The Sound City is a great choice, very much like a Highwatt tone wise.

Vox AC30 CC2X (Korg, Made in China) with Celestion Blues
I'll probably mod this in the future AFTER I find a good second amp to perform with. But for now, it really sounds great!
Does anybody else have a Custom Classic? If so, do you use a second amp live?
I think i should start another thread if i can formulate my questions better
cheers!

Also looking for something similar here. Tube head, enuff headroom, preferably no distortion channels or anything installed. Simple things for a complicated human being.
Old Traynor's would be good, but they're hard to come by in EU. Anything that has Marshall on them are too pricey here, and besides any models newer than 2203 or 2204 won't do it for me.
I guess Sovtek could be a way to go, or probably some old Laney. I'm really facinated with Orange Tiny Terror too (affordable, compact and would look funny with a 4x12 cab or two), yet I'm afraid there's not enough headroom.
Currently, I like my VHT Pitbull Super 30 1x12 combo, but I'd like a bigger tone and less moving parts...

I'd like to get a new amp soon.Either Traynor,Sovtek,or maybe a Redbear.
Something with a master volume,and one channel,like a JCM 800.

yeah, I like the twin with pedals, the only reason I don't want one is I really want something that will actually break up . I might be pulling the trigger on a mig bassov 50. now, it would be ideal to have a fender SF showman(twin in head form) and then some sort of 50 watt non master vol amp so I could get the best of both worlds.
