Agreed, the Cosmichorus is hard to beat. It'll cover most anything from standard lush chorusing to vibrato to insane seasick warbling.

I'm a huge fan of the EHX Polychorus as well though it specializes mostly in weirdness. The new XO sized enclosure peaks my interest as the original is HUGE!

Call me old-fashioned but I like a Boss CE-2 at 'you notice when it's turned off more than on' settings.

If I want extreme, I go straight to LFO-tweakable rack delays that let you extend the chorus time out to 8s.

Sea Machine is p rad, particulsrly for the reverb/short delay knob, which at first i thought i'd never use, but have found it to be sooper useful

Yes. Sea Machine x1,000,000

Also, Arion Stereo Chorus, especially if you're a bass player or low-end-y guitarist. SO MUCH LOWZ!!!

Another sea machine recommendation from me. Not only does it sound great, it makes chorus FUN and does really weird things.

How does the Cosmichorus compare to the Sea Machine? Does each do a certain sound better? What are the advantages each has over the other?

imo it seems easier to coax "normal" chorus sounds out of the cosmichorus, and do some of the flanger-y things.

can't really say which plays better with others, but Sea Machine + Flange = eargasm.

but the main thing i see about them is that they're like... different attitudes of chorus i guess.
