The should I sell it, thread

Ok, here' the deal. I have an M9. it's cool and all. But i realized I don't use about 98% of it. after some 22nd birthday money, selling my longboard, potentially selling the M9, and dumping some shit pedals, I'll have about 650$. Should I just say fuck it to the M9 and start and actual pedalboard? all i really use it for these days is the looper once in a while, because i find most of the distortions to be useless, and the cooler stuff i fuck around with just isn't practical in a band setting....I feel like I'd be able to improve my playing if I just focused on one sound rather than stacks upon stacks upon stacks of ever changing effects, but who knows. Anyways, what do you think I should do?

This thread needs to stay active because I always have problems deciding on what to sell and what to keep.

problem is, after i broke my leg, and the 2 subsequent ankle reduction surgeries, my foot is literally going to be semi crooked. plus it's a $300 board in mint condition. it made out much better than my leg did. as or this thread, i figured others might have the same issues on whether or not to sell or not.

Rule of digital multis (triple if it's a L6 product): sell when you're not sure when they're still current. If you miss it, the price will only have dropped like a rock in six months when the new one (or a competitor's new one) shows up.
Price on the digital units ages like vinegar, not wine, even though they don't get worse with age.
They're a buyer's market item.

I feel my playing improves because of all the different effects/sounds available and the possibilities those offer. Depending on what effects are on I find myself playing different things, things I wouldn't be doing without the effects. You also play more if you enjoy the sound and who the hell here likes actual clean tones?

tis complicated. with the M9, i'm always trying to switch up sounds, and I find myself fucking around with effects rather than just playing. and i occasionally like reverb'd cleans for da ambients

Did you settle on effects or are you still searching for ones you like in the M9?

it's always changing. i mean, i basically just stick to plate verb, and some of the delays on the M9. it's stuff i can easily replace. due to this whole dorm thing, i really haven't even set up any of my other pedals because of the M9, so i like its convenience but at the same time i only use such a small part of what it's capable of. i feel like i'm wasting it sometimes

If that's how your using it, sell that goddamn thing. Convenience is the only advantage of Line 6 multi-effects and the dirt settings are shit. Use it to decide what you like and dislike, then move on. You'll be happy you did.

So, if this thread is open for everyone - I am debating if I should sell or keep my Pigdog mk2 and my messenger fuzz. I like both, at least the pigdog is the one tonebender kin that works best for me, and the messenger is cool as fuck. But I don't have them on my board and I don't really know if and when I am going to use them. I keep thinking it's good to have sounds in store that I could pull out if I want to but then again - when would that be?
