What is your/your band's, vocal set up if you don't use a powered mixer into cabs?

haha, I was just curious because I have heard alot of talk on other forums of people switching over to multi channel keyboard amps with xlr as well as powered monitors with EQ's.

Powered monitors, and a small mixer. Or no mixer, you can go mic. straight into a powered speaker, and it'll be fine. Powered spearkers are definitley the way to go, over a powered mixer and passive speakers. For a mobile rig.

LOL I have a 10 dollar mic from Target into a Line 6 Spider...

I need to get a PA system, but pedals and guitars seem to get in the way :idk:

We occasionally wing it by plugging a mic into the keyboard player's amp (which does have a proper vocal channel at least), and that works alright. Normally we use a shitty old powered mixer and speakers though.

meh.. i don't like powermixers.... I prefer the normal mixing setup and active power speakers...
good: no heavy amps/racks you might have to carry around, easy to upgrade, easy to use :thumb:
bad: you need a power and a signal cable for each speaker, active speakers are a little bit heavier than passive ones.
