I need some help! (delays)

So i ditch my cheap crapy Artec delay and want to get something else.
I´ve been looking at Eqd Disaster Transport JR, Malekko 616, Mxr Carbon Copy and they all sound good in demos. Im in favor of the Eqd for the tone knob since i want the echoes dark.
I dont care for modulation so i dont want to pay more for that function.
So witch one of these works best when you hit them with a lot of dirt? Or should i look at other pedals? Any pros & cons? Ideas?

Just go for the eqd and don't look back. It is seriously really good.

EQD is awesome: Probably the best bet if you don't want modulation, you sure you don't want modulation??
2 others you could try (although they include modulation)
VFE Blueprint delay
Subdecay Echobox
Both play nicely with dirt although neither has a tone control,

I have no idea why i would want modualtion.
Sure thing then i´ll get the EQD.

Modulation can produce some really cool lo-fi type sounds with a good delay, I never set it too extreme but it does some nice things to the repeats.
I had a memory boy and the modulation on that was more like a toy than anything musical.
On the echobox it is very useable,
I think you will be very happy with the EQD

I have both the 616 and the Carbon Copy, and had a Memory Boy.
The 616 has both a dark and a brighter tone (true bypass vs. buffered). The CC's tone seems to me to be dead-nuts inbetween, and perfectly so. The Memory Boy's tone always seemed to be dull and lifeless, where the other two have got both good tone and great natural sounding decay in the repeats.
The Malekko MAY do a little better with dirt than the CC, but I haven't had it long enough to say for sure.
The modulation on the CC is actually quite nice although difficult to adjust; I had always thought of this feature as silly and useless, but it does round out and fill out the tone beautifully when set correctly. This is the pedal I've owned the shortest amount of time but find the easiest to dial in.

I never thought I cared about modulated delay until I got a delay pedal that modulated. Especially if you're going for a dark, more subtle sound, a little bit of movement and pitch variation really contribute to that.

Modulation by itself, not so much. Delay with modulation is one of the best things ever. Add some seasick chorus, or dark vibrato to the repeats, yesyesyes. I use the Disaster Transport (full), btw, and a Memory Boy.

don't write it off so quickly. you might love it, and if you don't, i guarantee you can get most of your money back in a trade or selling it outright.

I love the DT Jr. Sometimes I wish I had the full-sized version as well, for the modulation, but really...I don't use it enough to warrant that. Besides, I get a cheap modulation effect from another delay/reverb unit.
I don't think you'll be disappointed, the tone knob is amazingly useful. Plus it has the best "DOOOOOOOOOOOP" after you slow it down from self-oscillation out of all the delays I've played.
